The Scottish Government has urged caution at the moment ‘to help create conditions that allow Scotland to move beyond Level 0 on 9 August’
On 19 July, as coronavirus restrictions were lifted in England and Wales, the whole of Scotland moved into Level 0 restrictions.
Nicola Sturgeon confirmed the move, which had been delayed from 28 June, but warned there might be “certain modifications to our original indicative plans” in response to the rise in coronavirus cases.
The First Minister explained: “This is intended to ensure that our pace of easing restrictions is sensible in light of the challenge we continue to face from the Delta variant.”
