TheCityUK hails launch of UK-India trade negotiations

TheCityUK has appointed Dame Anne Richards, DBE, Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity International, as its next Board Chair. Anne will succeed Mark Tucker, Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings, who will step down on 31 May 2022.

Anne will lead TheCityUK Board, working closely with TheCityUK Leadership Council Chairman, Sir Adrian Montague, and its executive team to progress TheCityUK’s mission to champion and support the success of the UK-based financial and related professional services industry.

Britain says a deal could be worth billions of pounds and almost double exports to India by 2035. The Committee will investigate how a potential trade agreement with India could affect businesses and consumers across the UK.
