    Does England have two flags?

Why are there two flags of England ? You are confusing England with the U.K. This is the British (UK) flag - it represents England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

What does the English flag look like?

The real flag of England is St George's Cross, a red cross on a white background. Most people think that the Union Jack is the English flag, but it is actually for Great Britain, as it contains elements of the other flags of the countries in Great Britain.

Why is the UK flag called Union Jack?

The Union Flag, or Union Jack, is the national flag of the United Kingdom. It is so called because it combines the crosses of the three countries united under one Sovereign - the kingdoms of England and Wales, of Scotland and of Ireland (although since 1921 only Northern Ireland has been part of the United Kingdom)

What does the English flag mean?

The flag of England is derived from Saint George's Cross (heraldic blazon: Argent, a cross gules). The association of the red cross as an emblem of England can be traced back to the Middle Ages, and it was used as a component in the design of the Union Flag in 1606.

England has a single flag - The Cross of St George. The UK has the Union Flag and then a flag for each of the nations - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. ... The UK has many more than 2 flags. The national flag, the one that most people recognise is the Union Flag.

    Hi Friend,

    Here is your answer,

There aren’t two flags of England. There’s the flag of St George which is the flag of England. The Union Flag is made up of the flag of St George, St Andrew’s flag and St Patrick’s Saltire. So the Union flag incorporates the flags of three out of the four nations in the Union (England, Scotland and Northern Ireland) the only country’s flag left out is Wale’s.
